Default simple equation

Please give me the equation for determining hold'em starting hands for:

Number of possible combinations for a pocket pair (6)
Number of possible combinations for AK (16)

Pocket pair : (4*3)/2

For any rank , there are 4 ways to select a suit . Once this is fixed , there are 3 additional ways to select another suit . Finally we divide by two to avoid double-counting .

non pocket pair : 4*4=16

There are 4 ways to select a suit from each denomination so we multiply 4*4 = 16 .
