Default tricky spot preflop 3/6

1st raiser is taggish, 2nd raiser is "prepostorous" - lag that reraises a lot. notice 150bb effective stacks.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($935.75)
CO ($1204.50)
Button ($705.90)
SB ($1231.10)
Hero ($887.70)
UTG ($1117.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $24</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $93</font>, Hero..

I can't see how anything other than a call could be correct. This is a really sick spot though as anything you do basically puts your hand face up.

This spot sucks because your hand will basically be face up.

While it's a move that I never do, I think a cold 4-bet bluff here is an awesome move to do on occasion, given preposterous's range here. With a real hand.. no idea.

Seems like the issue here isn't so much that our cards are 'face up' as much as that MP will be getting a nice price for pocket pairs and suited connectors. Maybe that doesn't matter, though. I'd still call and play a cautious flop if MP stays in the hand. Just kind of wondering as to which aspect of the situation you're curious about, Kratzer.

So SB's NAME is "preposterous" or he IS preposterous?

i like a 4-bet and chill out if you get any more action.

(because you have position on SB)

Yah this was the other part of my post that I decided not to include in my first reply :

Ugh I don't want to raise here though but it's only because I don't want MP to shove over us. Is it wrong to put in a small raise here (like, minraise) and fold if MP shoves? Anyone? Major problem I see w/ that is that if MP is keen he'll ID that as an attempt at isolation. Still, he's got to have a strong enough hand to withstand a call from SB if he shoves.

I'm tired right now and tossing out ideas.

well, 5-betting light over a cold 4 is suicide, so assume that nobody will do that. hence, you can 4-bet this and it'll work out fine.

calling is too transparent, methinks.

I make it 250, and fold to a push.
The problem with call is if flop comes with undercards, what would you do if he bets?
He can get you off the best hand with jj, or a c-bet.
This way if he calls I play it slow.
