My top four of all time are:
Larry Bird
Magic Johnson
Michael Jordan
Wilt Chamberlain

They all played different positions so it's pointless to say who was better. However, Larry Legend is definitely my favorite player of all time.

LOL no one has mentioned Dr J yet. I'd put him over Bird.

So does that make John Havlicek the number two greatest ever?

Championships are wonderful and Russell was the best player on those Celtics team, but the whole mantra of zomg Russell best evar because of the rings is pretty silly.

Also, how was nobody mentioned Juan Dixon?

I intentionally left Russell and Chamberlain out mainly due to the fact that the success that they had was mainly because of their size. Also, when Russell when his 11 championships there were like 8 teams in the league and the competition wasnt close to what it has been in the last 25 years or so.

So my list is:
1. Jordan
2a. Johnson
2b. Bird
