Decided to try out some pokerstars as the ongame FR games weren't so active, anyways this spot comes up every now and then and only recently have I understood how important it is to just coldcall the bet, if I 4bet, I will always get stacked by AA, AK/QQ will fold because my hand will be obvious. How do you like the flop play? if the turn is a Q and he continues betting I'm throwing my hand away, otherwise I think I get the max out of QQ this way? |

and if he checks behind with QQ? well I don't know if he calls 80 with QQ but just a somewhat more safe way to get money in the pot just incase..

just c/r AI on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] CRAI on turn isn't going to work if villain has QQ, as he is surely checking behind, and he may even check the turn with AA (I know I would here sometimes). I actually like how OP played it a lot. Villain is going to have a very hard time folding to the turn mini-bet, and then he's likely gonna convince himself he's priced in on the river. |

Re: NL400: KK, played to maximize my expectation?
I agree that just smoothcalling with a hand like KK is a good play now and then, but is this a good spot for it? Completely OOP vs 2 opponents? I think this is rather a general question but I would like to hear some opinions on that.

[/ QUOTE ] The thing is, as I explained, I could then just aswell 4bet with 78s, because I don't know many players who would call/shove over my 4bet with QQ/AK and AA is stacking me |

Re: NL400: KK, played to maximize my expectation?
Yes, I understand that reasoning. But say you don't hit your K on the turn but a brick comes off? How do you continue? c/c turn and river then? I'm just interested...

Re: NL400: KK, played to maximize my expectation?
no I was definitely going with the hand, the only worry is how to get the max from QQ/AK, I would prolly play it about the same way with a blank turn
