Default Ballys, Harrah\'s, Caesar\'s, Las Vegas

Hey guys I'm planning my bachelor party for next year January '08 and I was wondering if any of you guys have stayed at Bally's, Harrah's, or Caesar's palace in, Las Vegas. How's Bally's inside and where is Harrah's located on the strip or how far from strip(I know its sad, but I never stayed there)? Is Harrah's nice too? Was wondering if you guys no any specials or good recommendations other than these three places. Help me out! I want a nice spot that we can bring back all the loose women and would get minimal complaints. Also does anybody know some good poker tournament events happening in January 2008 and are any of the three hotels good for 1/2 NL or 8/16-15/30 limit? Thanks. All comments and suggestions would be appreciated. I'm not trying to break my friends pockets so if you know something really nice and affordable let me know.

A quick google came up with all of this stuff below.

None of the hotels have anything higher than 3/6 limit as their regular limit games. For live game locations:

For locations:

For tournament circuits:

For daily tournaments:

Regarding Harrah's, close your eyes and imagine the best possible place for a Hotel to be on the Las Vegas strip. That's where Harrah's is.

Seriously, as Photoc's ridiculously awesome http://vegastodayandtomorrow.com/VegasTaT_Maps.htm link will show, it is across the street from Caesar's (and katty korner from Mirage), next to IP, a very short walk to the Venetian to the north and Flamingo, Bally's, Paris, and Bellagio to the south. Planet Hollywood is then just a few more steps past Paris.

Harrah's is also pretty cheap. It's not the Venetian or Bellagio but neither is the price.

Out of the 3 you mention, Cesar's Palace is by far the nicest/classiest. That said, since it's a bachelor party, do you really want something that nice? On the other hand, it would be VERY embarassing to be bringing chicks back to the Harrah's, unless you're into the trailer-park variety!

Why limit to those 3 choices? Why not Palms, Venetian, Mandalay Bay, Hard Rock, and MGM (most versatile hotel IMO in Vegas in terms of demographics, things to do, price, occasion etc.).

Cesar's also has the nicest poker room out of the 3. All 3 are centrally located on the Strip. Bally's would be ok, but I recommend avoiding Harrah's for a bachelor party.

Word of advice, call around strip joints and ask THEM what they are willing to do for you and your group. Often times, they will send a limo to pick you up for free (you tip appropriately), get you free cover for the bachelor and hook your group up with a table etc. Note that these offers do not apply if you drive yourself or take a cab (they have to pay out to taxi drivers).

I just had my bachelor party in Vegas back in June (in the middle of the World Series). Reply on here if you have specific questions.

[/ QUOTE ] I just said those places b/c they are cheap and I know they are close to strip. Help me out with the other spots. I've been to Vegas, but when I go I stay at my timeshare. All my timeshare places are booked and my friends most likely want to stay in a casino too. I never stayed inside the casinos, but just close to them.

Caesars would be my choice of the 3 for a hotel, just because when I'm out on a real partying vacation, I'd like to go all out and really enjoy myself. And yes, I'll enjoy the room/suite to it's fullest if ya know what I mean /wink.

I've stayed at all of the above.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nothing exciting. The location is outstanding though. The North Tower rooms are nice and large. The South Tower rooms are dated.

and where is Harrah's located on the strip or how far from strip(I know its sad, but I never stayed there)?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's in the very center of the strip, across the street from Cesars and Mirage.

[ QUOTE ]

Is Harrah's nice too?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's ok. Most of the people staying there are middle aged and from the midwest. Its full of older people that are pasty white and women with and abundance of cottage cheese on their thigh. The four positives of Harrahs are that its occasionally very cheap, the Range Steak house is quite good, the carnival court outside is outstanding for meeting cuties, and the location is unbeatable.

[/ QUOTE ]

For cheap without dropping in quality to IP, try Flamingo. Maybe Planet Hollywood also, though it seems overpriced.

[/ QUOTE ]

No one cares. At all. You can bring whatever type of woman you want to any hotel in Vegas and no ones gonna bat an eyelid. Maybe you will get stares if you take a crack ho to the Four Seasons of if you have a fettish for dudes in wigs. Other than that, no one cares.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just about every casino between Mandalay Bay and Wynn has this game.

[ QUOTE ]

or 8/16-15/30 limit?

[/ QUOTE ]

Only Wynn, Bellagio, and Mirage have this game.

Well Mirage doesn't have 8 or 15's, but they do have 10/20. Venetian also sporadically has both 8 and 15 games.
