Avoidable or no?

This is similar to the Ciaffone hand (you who have read teh book no what I am talking about)

2/5 limit at private club- most players at the table are loose aggressive.

I get dealt 3c3d in early position. 1 caller to me, I call 5. Player to my immediate left makes it 40. Two cold callers and player to my right calls, so I call as well.

I have $400 in front of me and everyone who has calle has me covered.

Flop comes 8s 5c 3s

First player checks, I check, original bettor bets $60. Player to his immediate left minraises to $120.

All fold to me and I push. At this point there is $380 in the pot. Original bettor folds and raiser calls with a set of 5's. I lose.

Avoidable or no?
