Default Do you tip when you\'re down?

If not how many BBs down before you don't tip? And do you go by whether you're down in the session, day, or some other timeframe?

If the dealers doing a good job why should that make a difference? It's not his/her fault you play bad.

Never said it was the dealers fault we get bad variance. I'm talking about winning players, maybe full time players that feel like they're working alongside the dealer.

I tip every pot regardless of my overall session results, my mood, the weather, or other unrelated factors.

I have no idea why being down would matter.

This is how I tip the dealers:

"Don't pitch the cards so high"

"Don't talk while you deal"

"Pay attention to whom you are pushing the pot to"

Those are the kind of tips that I give dealers.

Just tip, for God's sake. Just flip a buck to the dealer. How tough is this friggin' subject?

If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to play poker. Super Walmart is always looking for help, you get benefits and never have to tip.

Tip a buck for any decent pot. At a very tight table where everything is heads up I might only tip $1 every 10th hand or so(then again, what I am I doing sitting at a very tight table?) but in general, if I am getting 3-4 way action or better, I tip $1 every pot and maybe $2-3 if the pot is very large($300+).

Winning or not has nothing to do with it, and I would note that if you are a +EV player who tracks their results, there is no winning or losing in a single session as your play ought to be viewed as one long continuous session with the occasinonal(frequent?) variance.
