Default Hero makes an expert play, or?

Reads:

CO is 25.7/4.1/3.2

I have played like 250 hands agaisnt CO so I know him pretty well. He is much tighter than a normal player at this game. Post flop, most of the time, he either c/f or plays very aggro. He is a big loser in my stats. I seen him do a lot of retarded stuff like capping K3, on a KKxxx board on both turn and river. That's not the way u get rich on Pacific. He overplays both made hands and draws. He only raises good hands pf though.

UTG+1 is 53.3/6.7/0.7

Seems to be a normal CS

Pacific $.25/$.5, 6 handed

Hero is BB with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

PF: UTG+1 limps, CO raises, all fold to Hero, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop (3 players, 6.5sb): 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, CO bet, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, CO 3-bets, Hero folds...

Thought one had a pair and the other a better flush draw. Yes?

I think you're in RIO hell and should c/f the flop. If you're ahead, you're in real trouble. You called pf for set value, IMO, and that's now gone.

Also, not sure how you can put UTG+1 on any hand at this point -- all he's done is call which indicates he has at least two cards.

With this read, why did you raise the flop ?

I agree that you were unlikely to have the best pair or flush draw, but I would have folded to CO's 1st flop bet.

Sure CO may have been bluffing, but the pots not really that big, and I would not want to fight for it with such a weak hand.

c/r/f is rarely correct. in this 3way pot with a lag and a calling station, i don't think you could have picked a worse line. you put 2 bets in on this street and didn't even see another card. if you give that money to me instead, i'll at least say nice things about your appearance and/or personality.

QFT

I'm not sure about 6max, but FR this is a fold PF. Do you have set value with two opponents? And on the flop small pockets pairs play "fit or fold".

Assuming you are not leveling,

http://poker.wikia.com/wiki/Reverse_implied_odds

basically, you are ahead, but have little chance of being ahead after the turn and the river. The opposite of implied odds, where you are behind and drawing to winning outs. here.

With your read on CO, I might just check-call the flop, turn, and river if UTG stays out of the way. I don't like trying to out-aggro someone who will overplay a draw when I have a weak made hand.

Getting 5:1 PF, I call here all day for set value. And that would even be against sane opponents. With a guy that's going to throw money at me with worse hands and another guy who is going to still pay me off a lot of the time, this is a no brainer call.
