These types of tables never pay off big for me. I think the two most common scenarios are either lose big, or double-up and get the hell out. These tables simply don't suit my game, and negate my edge. This is the type of table that is almost guaranteed to throw you off your game...unless this is your game.

I tend to like them. The most frequent argument I hear against them (and I am not saying this is your own view) reminds me of a friend that refuses to play the fishiest imit game in my local casino. He says that it is impossible to to win because there are too many players playing and calling every hand. It might seem that way sometimes and indeed, you may have to wait a little longer to win a pot, but of course when you do, it's a big one. So, if you have the roll to withstand the greater variance and wait for the bigger pots to come your way then these game are extremely profitable long term...

Jaja - I think you missed the point. It's now clear to me that you are capable of writing a coherent sentence, or at least an understandable phrase. Any mistakes in grammar, spelling, and such are easily forgiven.

Intentional tripe and abusing another poster is not.

I'm going to let you have the last word in response to this, if you want it. That means I don't intend to respond to you again in this thread.

If you want to post on this forum about Omaha-8 in an intelligible fashion, you're very welcome.

However, thus far, I haven't seen much written by you and posted on this forum that merits reading. If you want to communicate with individuals, then I suggest you send them personal messages. If you can't figure out how to do that, ask and I'll by happy to try to explain.

If you feel this forum is run by the gestapo, why not try another forum? (I don't have to read your posts on another forum).

If you want to write gibberish and trash other posters, me included, you're not welcome on this forum.

Andrew - show a little respect for your elders, Buzz contributes to good O8 discussions here and tries to help others. he's a retired dean, doesn't play online, and is probably not impressed by your riches. lol... are you trying to pick a fist-fight with a retiree?

this forum is one of the few O8 learning places... as pocketfives is essentially total garbage. i'm sure everyone here would be glad to have you analyze some hands and maybe post some of your own. the monthly low-content thread is usually the best place for trash-talking and bad beats. nothing wrong with having fun here, but you will obviously get banned if you seriously try to insult too many people.

sincerely,
your role model and mentor,
dave
