Cash game donk needs help
I used to play tourneys and SNGs mostly low buyin <20 FO and 3rebuy. I had ok success but switched to cash games.
I am just looking for a quick refresher to go over before I head to turning stone and add 1k in dead money to the tourneys. I own the first 2 Harrington books would the third be an excellent refresher course? Basically I have 2 weeks and don't want to spend the whole time reading on how to play tourneys as I am using it for limited use (3) but would like to dedicate a day or so to sharpen the skates. |

Re: Cash game donk needs help
reread HoH 2 and read MTT and HSMTT. That should be all you need.

Re: Cash game donk needs help
HOH3 is definatley good as a refresher, it gets your mind back into the groove so to speak, as you work through problems this time in quiz styleee, getting points at the end for choosing the "correct" plays. It will be especially good for your purposes as its a big confidence booster when you get your results (assuming you are actually any good.)
I was over the moon to find out Im, and i quoute...ahem.. ...A very good player who would show a solid profit in big tournaments. Not my words people, the words of the great Dan Harrington, i never doubted he was a man of great judgement. Also there are some great great threads in the mtt anthology at the top of this page, so check through there. Im sure youll find some that are very relevant to you and the parts of your game you especially want to focus on. All the best with the come back matey matt |
