Default Tourney hand - where did I go wrong?

Long time reader, first time poster. Hope to get some pointers.
Live tourney hand 10 handed.
Everyone has the same amount of chips (7000).

Hero is in button with 5c5s6c10d
7 limpers, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks

Flop: 9d9c5d (700ish in pot)
BB bets 150, MP calls, MP+2 calls, Hero raised to 1050
BB calls, MP calls, MP+2 calls

Turn: Ac (approx 5510 in chips in pot)
BB checks, MP checks, MP+2 Checks, Hero bets 5510
BB fold, MP folds, MP+2 goes all in, Hero calls 650

MP+2 shows AsKdJd9h and Hero loses.

Line of thought:
- 3 callers on the flop I put at least 2 players with a 9 and didn't hit their kicker yet.
- Only hand we are worried about on flop is 6h9s

question is:
- on the turn, how many people check on the button when it was checked to
- if you did check and MP+2 pushes river, would you fold or call?
- did I play it bad or did I get unlucky?

Thanks in advance.

Fold preflop. Once you get to turn you are in a no win situation.

You're in a no win situation when you enter a PLO MTT.

I think I fold preflop easily. As played I raise the flop like you did. Turn is just a bad position all around with so many callers on the flop.

PLO tourneys are a good change to the scene.
So as played would either of you would check the turn and fold to a river shove?I think my chips were going in there either way.
Pretty hard to fold that hand preflop when it was limped though. Definitely good pot odds to hit a hand.

What's the blind level? You gotta have deep stacks to play that hand, and you need to read ur opponents well, which is hard to do in a MTT... You said they have trips on flop not boats, how did u get that read?

fold preflop, you are only really hoping to hit bottom set and thats suicide 10 handed.

even if you flop the nut straight you wont be fav,
you will be vs a set + higher wrap + flush draws.

I check the turn, you will only get action if ur beat.

not so hard to imagine some muppet cant fold AA.

Most of my Omaha experience comes from Live Omaha,
Cash PLO and lil bit of LOH + PLO re-buy tournaments and I don`t think I`ve ever seen this hehe.

Well this tournament was suppose to be deep stack. But instead they decided to skip a blind level and start it off at 50-100. With only 7k starting chips it wasn't really deep stack anymore so I guess the pre-flop call was not very standard, it was only 100 to me and i was on the button at the time.

I flopped the small boat on the flop.
I knew that with three callers on the flop that at least 2 people had a 9 and didn't hit their kicker yet. It turns out that was the correct read. I am most interested in what others would do on the turn. I believe my flop play was very standard. I was just curious how many people would check the turn after it was checked to me and there was 5k+ chips already in the pot and I have 5k+ behind effectively.
