3/6 set
Playing with against a guy who is new to the site and or has new account. He seems to be fairly aggresive tag (no pt stats)I have tangled with him in a couple pots and seen him do some pretty aggressive stuff. I was kind of lost on this hand on the turn.
effective sizes 1200 I raise on the button to 18 with 6s6d sb rr to 60 I call Flop comes 10h 6h 2s He checks I bet 96. turn comes 7h HE donks the turn to 225 or something similar. I make it 600 he pushes,I? |

Re: 3/6 set
raise/folding the turn seems really bad. if im raising the turn to 600 its with the intention of calling a push.

Never fold a set as default.

Re: 3/6 set
If you raise the turn, you can't really fold to a push. I wouldn't like it, but you pretty much can't fold here, you have 750 of a 1200 stack invested.

Re: 3/6 set
You at least have to give him credit here for an overpair with a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or even overcards with [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s . I just cant imagine he donkbets into trying to push you out with a pure bluff. If you would know, it was a pure bluff - would you raise him in this spot?
With your hand and the board like this i think you want to see a showdown but dont want to get invested with 200bb unless you fill up, so raising turn just achieves that he pushes hands that beat you in this spot (and you barely cant fold anymore then) but shuts him down on bluffing you. |

Re: 3/6 set
Don't raise the turn. He's not suddenly betting out with black AA/KK here to protect, he would have bet the flop with those.
