Default Set Aces faced with river all-in (10NL)

No reads on villain, it was my third hand. Maybe I should have bet more on the flop, but the flop seemed safe to me.

Turnbet: betting for value. I didn't think he had a flush -or straightdraw. I put him on a AQ or something, maybe even AT.

River: can I call this bet? I flopped a monster and there are no flush possibilities but there is a straight possibility though.

Fold it.

He called with 3/5 preflop for exactly this kind of situation, don't pay him off and make it profitable for him.

You should hang around the forums and read a lot if you really considered folding.

Damn, you guys work fast.

Question: what do you think of the flop & turnbet?

I think they are about the right size. The board is so dry a larger bet might not get called, a smaller bet like these could even induce a raise.

Flop and turn bets are fine - the board is dry and you have a virtual lock. If you have reads that your opponents are willing to pay off larger bets, then bet more, if the opposite then bet less. But the amount you bet here is fine as default.

Maybe this looks like an auto-call for you guys, but I wasn't sure because he played the hand passively and his riverbet is fairly strong. I hoped he had AT or something.
Anyway; thanks for the feedback!

Don't be results-orientated. And don't post results - and some people will tell you to post results in BBV - but never post anything there. Being results orientated is the first thing you have to get over if you ever want to play reasonably well.
