PL25 - We don't chase gutshots, right?

This is early in the session, so no particular reads, i only think that villain is passive and limps too much. An hour later Pokertracker tells me he is 28/2/2 after 120 hands.

When he checkraises my cbet, my first instinct is to fold. But then i look at the board and his stack, and start wondering: should i shove here?

Shove is huge -EV. Calling is a waste of money even though you could be ahead (highly improbable) because you can't continue past the flop unless you spike a seven or eight.

You guys are probably right, but is it really that clear? If i shove, i have to pay $7.10 into a pot that will end up at $19.50. That means i have to find 36.4% equity. I i know he does that with an overpair and an overpair only, i have around 25%, so it's an obvious fold. If he does this with AK or so 15% of the time, i'm up to 31%, and uf he has AK 25% of the time, i'm at 38%, and th shove is actually marginally +EV. Now the guy limped preflop, and this is pot limit, where you should expect big hands to raise earlier than in NL, so do you really think he'll show up with a high pocket pair more often than 3 out of 4 times?

I don´t know what the others are smoking, this is like the easiest push ever. In my experience shorties aren´t exactly nut-peddlars. Expect to be ahead of monsters like A4, Q7 etc.

Good fold unless he's a donk who raises to $7 with 77. That would make me laugh and feel good inside.
Just play sensibly against small stacks mate, the pressure is on them not you.
