Yeah, that sport was odd.
Was it on Spike or TNN or something?

That sport could have had some potential with different rules and perhaps better marketing. Would be even better if they got some ex-NBA personalities or even other athletes to mess around in it like a Dennis Rodman or even a Manute Bol or something like that.

I would definitely tune in to watch Rodman vs. Bol on trampolines.

I would make the rule be that a team may only call a timeout when the ball is not in play (after an out of bounds, or a fould, etc.) I would not allow a timeout after a basket. I would make this the rule for the entire game. I think it would be a big improvement.

WTF? The reason games drag on at the end is mostly because of intentional fouls, not timeouts. The team that was ahead would still try to run the clock down and the team that was behind would still have to foul them.

Also, teams should have the option of taking possession (with a fresh shot clock)instead of free throws.

This will never happen because intentional fouls result in a lot more games coming down to a final possession.

I actually wouldn't mind this because I'm sort of a purist and I don't mind if a team loses by 5 without ever really having a chance to tie it in the last minute. But 95% of fans would not like this change.
