Im, I'd much rather double barrel with the 86s unless you've CRAI on drawy boards before. A lot of straightforward players don't believe you'd check strong hands on the turn there. That's why the stack-a-donk is so awesome against them. [/ QUOTE ] Against first level thinkers, I like the CRAI a lot. What would you do against a thinking 2p2 reg? |

Re: What now?

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Sometime I may 20 table 25NL and only play AA or KK. [/ QUOTE ] youll get dealt one of these hands one in every 110 hands or so... at 6 max tables (asumming your tables are always full), it will cosst you ($.25 + $.15) = $.40 $.40/6 = .06666666 cents per hand on average. 110 * 0.066666 = $7.34 So you need to make $7.34 every time you get dealt AA or KK for this to be break even. At full ring, its not so bad. $0.40/10 = $.04 110 * $.04 = $4.40 [/ QUOTE ] What about throwing in AK and QQ? [/ QUOTE ] Also, you occasionally get a walk from the BB, and sometimes you skip a blind when a person to your right decides to sit out, so doing it on full ring can be profitable if you're bonuswhoring at the same time. Throw in some extra hands, sit down with 20BB and you're doing the same as all the shortstackers we hate |

Against first level thinkers, I like the CRAI a lot. What would you do against a thinking 2p2 reg? [/ QUOTE ] "It depends". Seriously, all TAGs are different. I'd double barrel more if villain has the tendency to call one street with a pair to hope to show it down. That is, he takes WA/WB lines with medium-strength hands. I'll also double barrel more if villain plays draws passively, *and* he lays down draws if he doesn't get the correct odds. I'll CRAI if villain is floaty, because he'll be forced to fold a lot of better draws. Draws that he'd call with if I double barrel. I'd check-call very rarely. Only if I know villain likes to slowplay, and if I know that villain would never bet a hand that he's not willing to go the felt with. That is, he'd check behind for pot control if he wasn't willing to get it in. |
