Re: 100NL 6max River Play
No me gusta. You're repping a bluff? This board has hit your range hard so I don't think that's a good idea. If he called the flop with Jx he's folding unless it's KJ. If he called the flop with Ax you're probably screwed and will get called. Guess he could have a flopped wheel draw, but that's not enough.
Edit: I've experimented a bit with repping bluffs by betting big on the river, often in situations where I've been looking weak previous in the hand (in contrary to your hand) but I've found just making a 2/3 vb will get looked up much more often. |

Re: 100NL 6max River Play
i check behind on the river. you think he's calling with middle pair on an AKJxx board? i dont see value in a bet, and you're not folding out any better hands

Re: 100NL 6max River Play
Seems like an odd bet against an unknown. Great value bet against a calling station.
If you feel you have the best hand then value bet, but I think this may be a bit high against an unknown. |

Re: 100NL 6max River Play
Edit: Thought his stack were smaller, if you plan to take this line bet a bit bigger on the turn. But otherwise its ok, im all for valuebetting big with all sorts of hands.
If you were deeper id like a check behind turn since this is a great card for him to c/r, especially since this is an unknown. Be careful to 2barrel A-turns later on if you take this line though, since your credibility wont be so high vs observant players. |

Re: 100NL 6max River Play
Whats with all the Ace rag hands today? Given that you're betting so much, i'd say he's a lot more reluctant to call with a hand you beat. If i was betting for value i bet about half pot, but i'm not sure what you're hoping will call.

Jx? |

Re: 100NL 6max River Play
I just put him AI (notice stack sizes). Yeah it's a thin value bet, maybe too thin?

Re: 100NL 6max River Play
Edited my post nick, miscalculated stacksizes.
But still, vs a 70bb guy at NL100 i think we will get looked up alot with with random hands. I just dont like the idea of a Bet-bet-check vs a player who probably isnt good. If we dont want 3 streets of value a turnbet is pretty stupid imo. |
