Default 120 BB downswing in 1k hands.

I started limit 2 weeks ago, I was up 250 BB in 5k hands, then lost 120B in the next 1k hands, I couldnt win a single hand, didnt have a single winning session and it seemed every hand I played I got the worst flop, turn and river. Also every hand I got donked, check raised, capped and outsucked.

Is this a typical downswing? What can I do against this?

Im 4 tabling 0,25/0,50 btw.

Yes. 4 tabling as a limit newb is probably a big mistake and heavily -EV.

Ive been playing PLO and NL for over a year now, just haven't played limit.

Is SSHE small staked holdem by sklansky?

Maybe I should read it then.

Meh. Yesterday I played about 100 hands and was down 24BB. The day before that I played about 50 hands on one table and was up 24BB. Welcome to variance.

So why didn't you post when you were winning 5BB/100, and waited until you were losing 12BB/100? Because the winning streak was due to your MAD SKILZ as a poker player, and you didn't want to come off as a braggart, but the losing is clearly attributable to rigged sites, cheating opponents and variance, and you want to know the email address for Party Customer Support?

I did a steady 5BB/100 over the first 5k hands

worked myself up from the nanolimits, so I knew I was playing quite well + reading a lot here.

+50BB again

For sure bro, i just read it for the first of many many many times and if was great. Its going to take a few read throughs to understand it though. There is so much stuff and it's so deep. I'm re-reading through it with another 2+2er because its so complicated and hard to understand the first time you read it.

OP, you have a lot to learn about poker. Check out some of the threads in the microlimit library (see FAQ) on variance and downswings, and read some on playing better while you're at it. This thread is locked.
