A little better read on villain would be useful here. Bad comes in many forms.

I would much rather 3 bet this flop and bet turn, call down if he raises turn. Against bad players, no reason to get tricky and it makes your hand easier to play.

You should cut the action on this hand after the Jack falls. You then ask what you should do first to act on this turn... that's where the question is and you get less biased responses if people don't see that villain 3-bets his set.


Just calling the flop was so that you could get a c/r in on the turn when the bet size doubles - which isn't bad here. But, you understand when that Jack comes off, for you to go ahead with your c/r, you're basically hoping he has QQ, or sometimes 99. I would want to get a bet in on every street, so I think I lead the turn and call it down when he raises, rather than c/r and let him 3-bet his TT or JJ.

I use the flop 3-bet line as my default in these situations. Check-raising the turn can be okay too.
