Seriously, it is topical humour, so some might be over or to the side of some heads, but it is much more cleverly done than the average IMO. Wayne Brady had a daytime talk show! He was turned into the archetype of friendly non-offensive black entertainers. Seeing this juxtaposition in the skit was priceless, because it was totally believable. You really believe Wayne is gonna choke a bitch. I was a bit scared of him. Plus, this was right after Wayne had his show cancelled despite good ratings, and Dave renamed his show Wayne Brady's show for the episode. He even remade the opening credits and song. It was a multi-level concept piece. Funny yet? |
