Re: Live 2/5 NL--Pocket 10s as an overpair
I'd fold. I remember getting cleaned out in that game the players were decent/good, unlike most other live games I played in. But it was like 5 in the morning and I was pretty trashed so who knows. Either way I think you're beat here more often than not.

Re: Live 2/5 NL--Pocket 10s as an overpair
PF raise live was a little lite, make it 25 min, but it wasn't terrible. As played, your short stack + flop bet commited you to this hand, ALL IN, whatever happens happens.
I don't have a problem with buying in short to get a feel for the table, but putting yourself in a position to going all in early with TT seems a bit reckless IMO. |

*grunch*
Easiest shove ever. First of all, you probably have the best hand anyway, but its a no lose situation. If you win you have $200 yay! If you lose you have a maniacal table image yay! Rebuy and profit. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'd raise more preflop. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, $30 would have been much more appropriate preflop in most live 2-5 games--in this one, $35 would have actually been better. It was my first hand at the table. I hadn't seen a thing yet, so I wasn't aware how aggressively it was going to play. Still, in a live game, $20 'twas clearly an error on my part. [/ QUOTE ] WTF!!!!!!!!!! open raising to $35 in 2/5 with $200 stack is RETARDED!!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] Seriously, I'm wondering what you'd raise it to (or if you'd just call)? |
