Default Re: Poker Essays: Volumes 1 2 and 3. Worth it?

[ QUOTE ]
I need to choose 3 books from the B column of the 2+2 bonus program. Not sure yet of which books. I mostly play middle stakes limit holdem, but I'm going to learn other poker games in the next months.

What do you think about poker essays 1 2 and 3? Do you recommend me some of the others?

Thanks!

You might find some things of interest as a limit player, but most of the topics are dated and of limited relevance to the modern player.

The books are collections of essays that were written before there was any online play, when the only no limit games were live with unlimited buy-ins (Mason said, correctly, that no limit was close to dead at the time), and when there were virtually no short-handed games. There were few tournaments, other than the WSOP, at the time, so there is not much on that topic either. Most of the discussion is about limit holdem and 7 stud IIRC.
