AK, donked into twice, I try something different
on my gfs laptop so dont have the actual hh to convert.
villain is a boring tag, 18/16/3 I havent seen him do anything creative. Im pretty aggro at this table, but not picking up many pots so my image could be a bit splashy and weak, 25/20/3. $270 stacks. Hero raises $7 UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], BB calls. Flop $15 : K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets $13, Hero calls. Turn $41 J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB bets $29, Hero raises to $75, BB calls. River $191 A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB insta shoves for a PSB... Now what I was going for on the turn was a showdown raise, its not something I really use much at all but it seemed like a decent spot for it and Im trying to mix some new things into my game. It could well suck big time so please tell me how badly I butchered this one, and thoughts on the river. |

Re: AK, donked into twice, I try something different
When he bets flop i hav him at JX/Q10/flush draw, so yer i like your turn raise for reasons u stated above but river is an easy fold.

Re: AK, donked into twice, I try something different
Reads are that he is fairly uncreative and tight. We dont have a lot of history, the overall dynamic at the table is me possibly splashing around a bit too much and because Im missing a lot of flops Im not progressing much further in hands, I havent been involved with this particular guy much at all.

Re: AK, donked into twice, I try something different
the only hands that it seems to fits is 44 or Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]...

Re: AK, donked into twice, I try something different
wait wtf, i didn't see that you raised the turn.
Riv is a snap fold now. You ovverrep your hand on the turn cuz you're repping jx, which is good if villain can only have KJ/44/draw because you will never be 3bet by a worse hand (they won't expect Jx to fold obv). But it's bad if villain can have a hand like KQ here, because then you let him off too easily. Regardless though there's really just no way that villain is bluffing the river without a huge amount of history between you two. Fold |

Im pretty sure the river is a fold against this guy. I dont see him donking KQ twice but I could well be wrong about that. |

Re: AK, donked into twice, I try something different
Yeah, I actually like your play against an uncreative TAG. Uncreative tags tend to never have marginal KQ type hands here, and they usually don't have total random air very often either. If he had both of those in his range though, the turn is a clear call.
obv fold riv as played though |

QT spades makes the most sense. Royal flush ftw!
