Default How do you play against a LAP who straddles the blinds constantly?

The subject pretty much explains my question. But I'm wondering if a tight/somewhat aggressive player should loosen up against a straddle or not. Or any other strategies on combating the idiocy of a straddler.

wtf. raise the straddle when you have a good hand and isolate. he's out of position and has a worse hand in a raised pot.

Thank Heaven for straddlers. You should welcome anyone who put in a double bet, out of position, without looking at their cards.

I three bet with a wide range with position, especially if I'm first to call. But any middle pocket pair, two big cards will do against limpers as well.

Are you serious? Have you ever played a live game of poker in your life?

So what if he hasn't? Maybe his local house doesn't allow straddles. You obviously don't seem to realize this isn't done everywhere, so maybe you have a lot to learn yourself.

Anyway, from wikip:

Straddle bets

A straddle bet is an optional (voluntary) blind bet made by a player before receiving his cards. Straddles are only used in games played with blind structures. Straddles are normally not permitted in tournament formats.

Live straddle

The player immediately to the left of the big blind may place a live straddle blind bet. The straddle must be a raise over the big blind. A straddle is a live bet; the player placing the straddle effectively becomes the "bigger blind". Action begins with the player to the left of the straddle. If action returns to the straddle without a raise, the straddle has the option to raise. The player to the left of a live straddle may re-straddle by placing a blind bet raising the original straddle.
