I'd like calling better if the flush hadn't come in, lots of times villains like this will check behind fearing the flush draw.

Easy call, villain has a wide range and even though he should be checking the likes of AK(am I right). Villain does not seem competent thru first 30hands although that could be wrong. No point in raising as he only calls/raises with better and folds worse

if I was hero I'd value-bet A8 on the river here, and probably bluff a decent amount with air, so yeah it's good

You're beat here plenty for sure, but getting almost 3:1 a call seems fine. As cliche as it sounds, there's probably some useful information regarding bluffing/thin value betting/turn pot control/whatever info to be gleaned here from a call as well.

If villian was bluffing, would he not bet more?

TT/JJ big part of his range? KQ. I'm not saying I would not call, but I dont think I would call vs 10 pfr% who checks turn and bets river like this... looks like he "wanted to be sure" before betting.

At least I wouldnt be "yay!!!!! fist pump... snap call".

You have to think that a guy like this knows his line looks bluffy/etc. and thats usually why he's making this bet. This is generally a fold for me, but then again people think I fold like the third nuts before showdown.
