Default Fastest You\'ve Ever Driven

Not sure if this has ever been a thread but it seems like a cool topic, as almost all of us probably knows the fastest we've ever driven.

Mine is 120-125mph on FM1862 near a town called Blessing, TX (about a half-hour East of Victoria). I was with my gf and we were heading back to Houston from my brothers house in McAllen way down South.

It was in my old 1998 4-cyl Ford Contour and it was maxed out. Not too much vibration, and the visibility was awesome so I could see there were no cops or any cars around whatsoever. This was back when I was about 22 or so, and looking back on it, it was really stupid and wreckless. I'll probably never drive that fast again but it was fun!!

So, what are your stories, OOT??

On the way to a Tigers game a few years back, my friend got a flat tire. The game was at 8:00 and we got back on the road at 6:30. We were in Grand Rapids, 2 1/2 hours away. He wanted to call off the trip. I said no and drove his car ~120 the entire way from GR to Detroit. We were in our seats in the middle of the first.

240 km/h. It equals 150. It was in Germany when we went from Belgium to Austria on a skiing trip with some friends. Pretty awsome.

When I was 17, I was driving on some back roads on the way to the city. I got my parent's Intrepid up to 120mph and passed some people walking alongside the road. They probably [censored] their pants.

The fastest I've ever driven is about 115 mph in a 1999 BMW 3-series in some stretch in the south during my drive from New Orleans to New York. About an hour (?? don't remember too precisely) out of NOLA, there's a stretch where it's just a straight shot and no place for cops to hide and this lasts for a while.

The fastest I've ever gone in a car where I wasn't driving was 120 mph in my friend's dad's 1997 7-series going around the southern tip of Manhattan (the stretch between the west side highway and the FDR drive.) Boy, that car can fly; it felt like we were doing 70, and so smooth too. Suspension wasn't too soft, and not too stiff. Just perfect. That car is awesome.
