Actually it's not better than the Bellagio for the main event. They have 20k starting chips and 90 minute levels. This has 10k starting chips (according to the byline at the top of the page) and 75 minute levels. The addition of a 25-50 level probably helps some, but I think 2x the chips and 15 minutes extra each level is better.

Caesars gave away 33 seats in freerolls and high hand promotions, and they are really pushing sats and tournys where 1st includes a seat. Plus theres no other big tourneys going on at the time.

yes but you saw how that went in the turks, that being said this is the first 10k in vegas since the bellagio cup 3 ended and the city has been poker dead since.

that being said caesars probably already has about 20-40 satelite qualifiers with maybe 30 more before ME. They get a lot of local pros to come out, i'd say they get ~190, so it looks very top heavy but it's not a wpt/wsop circuit so you can make open deals

At least in the states it will be much easier to bring legal action if they try to pull one over like what happened in Turks.

i would bet that they can get at least 200 into this tournament. the wynn drew nearly 180 or so IIRC in the feb wynn classic. they prob had less satellites for that, and i don't think 1st in those prelims included a 10k seat. w/ that being said, i doubt it gets a whole lot more than that just because there's no tv coverage.

and yeah i will prob play all of these.

How are the fields for non-televised 10K events like this one? I don't know if there will tend to be more good players (because they'll be in the know about the fact that the tournament even exists) or less (because there is no TV and thus little to no sponsorship opportunities).

Wow I didn't know that all the prelims had a seat taken out. I will be playing in the ME not sure about any of the prelims. It will be interesting to see what the turnout will be. The Wynn had 197. I thought there wouldn't be a whole lot of known pros and a lot more lesser names since Bay 101 shooting star was almost overlapping this one. Boy was I wrong. Just about everyone you can think of showed up. There was only a handful of known pros that didn't play. Since there's not a whole lot going on during Caesar's ME I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar turnout.
