Default Set on coordinated board, 2/3 NL live

2/3 Live $200 max buy-in NL
8-handed
SB: $400
BB: $350
UTG (Hero): $350
UTG+1: $150
MP1: $400
MP2: $450
CO: $250
Button: $100

SB: posts $2
BB: posts $3
Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]: calls $3
UTG+1 calls $3
MP1 folds
MP2 calls $3
CO calls $3
Button: calls $3
SB calls $1
BB, who has played very tight for an hour and has doubled up one time in which he flopped a set vs an overpair, raises to $20.
Hero and then all of the other limpers call for a 7-way pot of $140.

Pot: $140
Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB bets the pot for about $140.
Tight BB folds.

What is heros best move now?

Read on SB: He will bet into fairly big pots with top pair or a strong draw, but he is able to lay down top pair when faced with a re-raise. He would have raised preflop with AA, KK and probably QQ. He would probably bet the pot with these kinds of holdings (hands that are ahead: TJ, 56, 99, T6) and (hands that are behind: JJ, TT, T9, 98, 66, 65).

What other hands are likely here, and what is hero's move?

Hero's image is tight/aggressive at a generally loose-passive table. Hero is has shown down KK to win a pot, but won/lost other small pots without a showdown.

Default Results: Set on coordinated board, 2/3 NL live

Hero pushed. Folded to SB who called with T6s. SB's straight held up to win.

I just don't see a call for hero being better than a push, or a fold being acceptable either given the range of hands that hero puts villain on.

I guess it was just a bad day at the office and there's not much to discuss here.

dont post the results. you get stacked there. i'm surprised T6s is in his range, I guess he isn't as tight as you thought. you'll stack him back next time you flop the nuts to his set.
