all the people that chose the carrera are obviously only picking it because "oh man, its a porsche!!11!! Porsches are like the best cars ever dud3!!!1!!!!!"

The only Porsches that are worth buying are 911 GT1, 911 GT2, 911 GT3, Cayman S, Carrera GT and 911 Turbo. If you buy a Boxster, Carrera, or Cayanne(sp?)...you're only buying it cause it says "Porsche" on the front.

The M3 is clearly the right choice between the two. Whoever recommended the Subaru WRX STi has a good head on their shoulders.

I just sold my '02 M3 yesterday so this thread makes me very sad.

For $30k the M3 you will get is going to be way better all around than the Carrera you would get for the same money.
