QoS packet scheduler thingy on internet connection does it help
QoS packet scheduler thingy on internet connection does it help?
will it even out my internet traffic, sometimes poker clients have connection trouble when I'm downloading something, anyone know if QoS will help, I've heard it doesn't do anything but that was a few years ago.

how many devices do you have on that router?
QoS is just to specify a certain amount of bandwidth for certain clients. So if you wanted to make sure you vonage phone always had enough bandwidth to maintain a good connection, you'd specify a higher QoS for it.

[/ QUOTE ] no I mean the QoS thingee under your internet connection on your computer that you can install/uninstall, its where you would install netbui or configure custom dns servers. just for single computer.

Help? Not really...hinder? Slightly, but in 95% of circumstances you are not going to notice with it turned off or on.
