Default Resteal, turns 2-barrel semi-bluff, turns into pot odds ? at NL 50

I have been SLAG probably 25/8/2 +/-. I doubt villain has any particular read on me.

Villain is 25/7/1.5 after about 100 hands.

He's been running pretty good.

He is certainly capable of raising from the HJ with a wide variety of weak aces and mid-to-high pairs as well as suited broadways.

He didn't strike me as the kind of guy to raise pairs lower than eights here, however. I think he'd have limped with a low pocket pair.

No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($29.50)
MP1 ($59.95)
MP2 (Villain) ($266.80)
CO ($37)
Button ($81.95)
Hero ($50)
BB ($15)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP2 (Villain)/ raises to $1.5, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4.25, 1 fold, Villain calls $2.50.

Flop: ($8.75) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $5, Villain calls $5.

Turn: ($18.75) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $15, Villain raises to $42, Hero ...

It is $26 to call.

I'm posting this hand because I like the line I took, and the decision I made on the river. I'm usually a pretty nitty poster, so I wanted to see what you thought of this. It's not your avearage AQ/AJ OOP hand that I always say "fold preflop" to, lol. Although many of you will surely say, "fold preflop."

I vote for call.

But I don't like your turn bet at all.

You have "pot odds" in your title, but I am not seeing where you are getting you outs from. You are getting 3-1 on your money.

If you are drawing to the flush then you need to be getting 4-1 at least. You have a gutshot draw to go with it, but that will give you the extreme dummy end of the straight with a 4-straight on the board. I guess you could hit 2 pair or a set and that would be good as long as he doesn't have a 5 in his hand or already have a set.

gross raise preflop. He needs to be opening a little lighter in my opinion for this to be profitable.

i think i'd bet a little more preflop and a little more on the flop. You are making it fairly cheap for him to speculate.

I guess the turn is a call considering his most likely hand is one pair.
