Default LADodgers-Milwaukee MLB 4/3

Play: Over 8 (+100, 5dimes)

Wolf (L) at Capuano (L). I've got it scored Dodgers 4.982-
Brewers 5.186. The Dodgers send out lefty Randy Wolf. He isn't quite the pitcher he used to be. He pitched 80 innings in '05 and 56 innings last year. The numbers from each of those years were not impressive. The Brewers will send 6 righties (Weeks, Hardy, Hall, Mench, Hart and Graffinino), 1 switch (Estrada)and 1 lefty (Fielder) to face the lefty. Wolf has a Slugging against of .437 to righties. He gave up 13 HR in 56 innings last year and 14 HR in 80 innings in '05. BAA in '05 was .282. BAA in '06 was .285. With Hirshbeck ( a notorious under ump) behind the plate, the Brewers will be swinging the bats. The Dodger pen won't have their long relief man (Hendrickson) available since he went 3 innings yesterday. If Wolf gets knocked out early, the Brewers may cover the total by themselves.

The Brewers send lefty Capuano to the mound. He fares pretty well against lefties with an OBP against of .283 and a SLG against of .315, both better than league average. His problem is against righties where he has an OBP against of .337 and a Slugging against of .475. The slugging against is one of the worst in the league. League average is .422 vs. righties). The Dodgers will send out only 3 lefties (Pierre, Gonzales and Ethier) although there is a strong possibililty that Matt Kemp may get the call in one of the OF spots, likely Ethier's spot. Kemp is a slugger who would match up well with Capuano. The 5 righties are Martin (slg .521), Garciaparra (slg .541), Kent (slg .481), Betemit (slg .348) and Martinez (slg .415). The Dodgers should be able to put runs on the board.

Usually to get a game over, both teams have to be able to score. We have two teams here that can score. The Brewers even managed 7 last night against a good righty in Derek Lowe.

This looks to go over the 8. And you can get it even money at 5dimes.

Good luck.

What an aggravating losing bet. I knew when they stranded Garciaparra after a leadoff double that I was in trouble.

Brewers 4
Dodgers 3.

Typical Hirshbeck game. One day I'm going to learn to stop taking the over in his games. 5 walks and 18 strikeouts in the game. Makes for a nice under.
