I'm pretty GD lethal when it comes to baseball capping, but exhibition games are so unpredictable I tend to shy away from them...But I agree the dogs often payout royally.

no, I haven't really looked very hard and am not as serious about this stuff as a lot of people on here.
Don't count on me to track anything down.

Oh, that questions was more general, no specific to you. I'm the opposite--I can't place bets until I have a mathematical/empirical reasoning behind it, and I would think there needs to be one here.

I stopped after week one - games are a joke and impossible to cap. I can entertain myself with March Madness until regular season starts...

I never got this way of thinking. I take it that you mean the game could go either way by that statement right? If so, then just play the dog if that's the way you feel.

People say the same thing about the NHL and I couldn't agree more that most games could go either way. But, instead of complain about it, I just make money by getting +odds on games that "are impossible to cap".

I totally agree....this time of year you can actually make good money on dogs in preseason. I think of it as a chance to get a little motivation going into the season! Find a seemingly close game and go with the dog a couple times to see how it goes!

You can find historical odds and outcomes at Donbest. I just went through the 2005 and 2006 seasons of data looking at all games with dogs at +100 or greater. Betting one unit on the dog in each game would have lost you 12 units after betting 504 games. My numbers could be off by a bit as I put the data in by hand but I doubt this bet is +ev.

Where can you do this on donbest? I play poker with a guy who has bet all the dogs in April the past 4 years and has said he has won every year. Could you please tell me how to do this or do the research and let us know how you would have done if you bet every dog on the board for April the last 4 years?
