$2/$4 Live, Problem with Turned Set
$2/$4 live game, with $200 stacks. This is Hero's second hand at the table, so no concrete reads, though the average player in this game is usually quite bad.
Hero is in the SB with 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 4 limp to Hero. Hero completes. BB checks. Pot is $19 after rake. Flop is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Hero checks, the rest of the table checks around. Pot still $19. Turn is the 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero leads out for $12. BB raises to $30. Rest of the table folds. Hero calls $18 more. Pot: $79. River is the J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero checks. BB says, "I think you missed your spade flush. Let's see what happens." BB bets $50. Pot: $129. Hero?????? |

Re: $2/$4 Live, Problem with Turned Set
given that he's bb and there are plenty of 2 pair possibilities, and the immediate odds you're getting, seems like a pretty clear call. Sure what he said makes it more likely he has a strong hand, but you beat plenty of them.
Either CRAI or call, definitely don't fold. This depends a lot on your image. -DrG |

Re: $2/$4 Live, Problem with Turned Set
Heros second hand at table, might not have an image unless he's a reg.
I agree with you though, probably 2 pair. 50 to call into 129 with 170 behind...he's getting 2.3 to 1 to call your AI, I say push. Against some players I might actually min raise this, hoping for pure value on their 2 pair. |
