Default Borgata $750 - Overpair facing flop C/R vs. rock

Early on, blinds 25/50, started with 6000, Villain has 6000, I have 6600. I recognize Villain, in his 50's or 60's, as a guy I played with about 1 1/2 years ago for 4-5 hours. He's a knowledgeable player and a complete rock. I'm fairly sure he doesn't recognize me.

Villain raises UTG to 200, I'm 2 to his left and make it 700 with KK. Everyone folds, Villain calls. Flop: Q 5 4 rainbow. Villain checks, I bet 1000, he immediately makes it 2500. Your action?

Do rocks raise/call AQ UTG?

Ugh, if he is as rockish as you say, and is like other old nits were not really ahead of much, but at the same time I cant see him playing QQQ this fast, and usually bad rock nits 4 bet AA pre. If you are beat, it has to be exactly AA.

I really think this depends on if he can possibly have AQ here.

If he can't put you on over pair here, he's not good enough to fold AQ, he may play JJ/TT this way too. I would go all-in.

I thought about the hand forever, and ended up folding. I thought AQ was unlikely because (1) I didn't think he'd call an EP 3bet of an UTG raise with AQ; and (2) I didn't think he'd make a kamikaze flop C/R with AQ when in all likelihood I had an overpair to the board. In subsequent conversations with him, he implied that my hand was good, but who knows?
