Default DVD decoder

I put a dvd in my computer to watch and got a message think in windows media center saying "decoder error." I don't recall doing anything with media center that would have screwed this up. Is there a plugin I can download to decode DVD's for play?

Default Re: DVD decoder

i recommend VLC - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

it is open source, and uses a bunch of legal, open source codecs to play a variety of media including dvds.

i think it is sensational for these sorts of problems. it just works.
