I thought 2/3rds of pot on a flop was fairly standard? I like my c-bets (hit, monster or miss) to all be about the same. I'd usually go closer to full pot on a turn if I felt villain was drawing. I'm a little reluctant to start firing near pot when I hit a flop as it means, in theory, that I have to bet the same for c-bets. $40 I'll give you by way of compromise

The question was "What is the standard play for the hero?: It seems that the majority of the responses did not seriously consider a blocker bet from the hero of 2/3rds the pot. As we all will agree, it will largely depend on the type of player the SB is. If the SB player is capable of floating in an effort to bluff when the scared card comes, then the blocker bet will disuade the SB from rasing the blocker bet given the cost of the play. If the SB player comes over the top of the Hero, then Hero will have to give up the hand. I would rather lose chips by betting my hand rather than calling the SB's bet. This play will also charge the SB for his draw. With all this being said, I think the check on the turn by the hero is a good play also given the Hero will be able to control the pot and can call a 2/3rd or so bet from the SB on the River.

I like a turn check if you don't have a read that says you can lay it down. What worse hands will he call your turn bet with?
QK if the only hand that comes to mind.

I bet most the time in position, probably not putting in anymore on the river unless its a non-dimond K and he's a fish.
