Default G. Smith v J. Madsen Crossbook Bet

If Gavin Smith ends up winning the $1500 Pot Limit Hold'Em Event, this will be a couple of bad days for Jeff Madsen. First, Jeff's "Youngest Player to Win A Bracelet" record was broken. Jeff should not be that upset about this since it is not that important and even if it is important to him Jeff is still the youngest player to ever win 2 bracelets. Second, Jeff will be down $250K if Gavin wins. Ouch.

Why the hell would he be worried about losing the record for the youngest player to win a bracelet?

I thought poker was about winning money, not about stupid records noone cares about.

Now cross booking with aguy who is chip leader a ft... that's something to worry about!!!

I heard him talking about it and he said that it also has something to do with if he cashes later on in the series ... I don't think it will be over tonight.

I thought I heard it that they were crossbooking each other for the entire series with a 250k cap.

Here's the link to the PokerNews video where Gavin talks about the bet.

Apropos of nothing, there's a rumour that when England footballer Wayne Rooney lost his record for being the youngest player to score a goal in the European Championships, David Beckham told him "don't worry, you can get it back".

No, he came in second, so jeff is down only about 150k.
