Aces cracked...again
2/4 SH
CO- TAG, decent player, pretty straightforward so far. AF 2.7 he opens in the CO, I 3bet in SB with AsAh, he calls Flop: Qs 8s 2d ..i bet, he calls Turn: Qd... I bet??, he calls River: 6d I bet, he raises, i call The turncard is actually not good for me and was thinking about c/c but in view of the 2 poss. fd´s i didnt want to give a freecard..since he is pretty agressive i choosed to bet/call and call any non-spade river.... When he just calls im pretty certain he´s got a ten or a pp. River is pretty mandatory, i guess |

Re: Aces cracked...again
c/c river. He will value bet any pair and you only lose value to a hance like AK that checks behind.

c/c river. ...you only lose value to a hance like AK that checks behind. [/ QUOTE ] uhh or all the other ace high hands he was calling down with once that queen pairs on the turn. also if he might freeze up 33-77 thinking that you fear the bd flush. definitely bet/call river. |

Re: Aces cracked...again
I never fold to the river raise here, I think it has something to do with wanting villain to know he sucked out on my aces
I like a river bet because people like to look you up with ace high on paired boards |

[/ QUOTE ] Some players will but this villain wouldn't, if his AF is any measure. Any bet here is very skinny because a raise must be called so you have to get called down twice as often by losers who would otherwise have checked behind just to make betting a BE proposition. Additionally, checking invites a bluff by a hand that would otherwise have folded to a bet. With this board that won't happen often but it still adds a couple points to your expectation. Finally I don't know how good Villain is but any decent player will bet any piece of the board when checked to, expecting to get a call from a missed A-high. |

Re: Aces cracked...again
I often hesitate here on the turn. On one hand, there's so many draws out there so we don't want to give a free card. On the other hand, villain has called 3bet preflop and called our flop bet. There is a pretty good possibility he has a Q.
Still though, I think a bet on the turn is the right play. |
