Betting the river makes little sense for his flop leading range, unless you're planning to snapcall a raise.

hmmm yeah I think betting turn and checking river is much better than this if you're going to be betting.

Edit: unless you think he can crai with draws on turn.

My only worry I guess was that he thought I'd b/f the turn because the board was drawy and so after missing the turn crai he went for a river crai. ANy more thoughts on this hand?

Weird, but I guess I call.

Rule #1 of being a good calling station is that when something weirds you out, the "call" button is your best friend.

Results:

I was the villain in the hand and had a combo draw that missed, the "hero" in this hand was doctabluff and made a good call with his KQ.

With a combo draw you should not bet the flop unless you are willing to bet the turn and even 3-barrel.

His range for calling the flop (and not raising) is almost entirely hands that will check behind on the turn for pot control, so going for a turn c/r after he calls is pretty bad.

I think your hand is pretty face up as being a combo draw, so Villain literally fears 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] only.

Yeah I'd bet the turn here w/o a better read, I think river is a must bet and this is a pretty easy call, you're beat by what 88 that chose to CR turn and a FD that made a straight which checked the turn? Not enough.
