why is he peeling the flop with an ace? I doubt this is ever a 2pair given OP's description. And what worse hands does he call the flop with and then turn into a 2-street bluff against what looks to be a showdown-bound hand? Given the description, it seems unlikely that he would do that with a mid-pocket.

This hand is well played imo.

Call for sure. He can have A5-A2, or 22 and be valuebetting your obvious Ax or Kx.

also i hate betfolding turn, anybody with some sack can raise you there.
