Re: some omaha (&HL) questions
small stakes fixed limit O8 is the only popular version in the US. Generally you won't find stakes beyond 10/20 (and thats high) outside of mixed games.
PLO high is popular in Europe. Online PLO high and 8 or better are both popular. |

Amazing as it may seem, during the recent WSOP Circuit Event, They spread PLO8 with $1-2 blinds. If you are here in Indiana, Argosy Casino in Lawrenceburg spreads $5-10 O/8 with a full kill on Wednesdays. I try to play in this game every Wednesday but the drive is really getting old. I haven't been all summer so my information is stale but Casino Aztar in Evansville spreads $10-20 O/8 with a half kill on Tuesdays. |

Re: some omaha (&HL) questions
The Mirage in Vegas spreads a pretty regular 5/10 O8b game, and if you get the right time/table, you can crush that game. The Orleans is the only casino in Vegas that I know that runs a weekly Omaha H/L Tourney, so check them out too.
For my local cardroom, Mountaineer spreads a 3/6 H/L game with a full kill, which isn't a bad game, either. Sometimes they bump it to a 5/10 game, too. PLO is a tough game to play because of the swings. It's not like Hold em, where you can be a 4:1 favorite in a hand... There just are too many draws to beat you, which is why a hand like AAKK Double Suited is STILL not a monster favorite over a hand like 8-9-10-J Double Suited... You can lose a lot of money there if people start getting out on you. A lot of places that run a steady PLO game have a pot-cap to protect the players from going broke on what typically amounts to nothing more than a coinflip. Omaha H/L is probably my favorite game to play live, and I'm under the age of 30... Which obviously makes me the exception. |

Re: some omaha (&HL) questions
Of the varieties of Omaha, I like Pot Limit Omaha Hi the best.
Riverwind just south of Norman OK has PLO. |

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they run a PLO tourney, PLO8 tourney, and limit o8 tourney. Side games can sometimes be found during these times as well as people bust out. 89,783 and count, count, counting |
