Default Wsop Europe schedule

Are there only three events? How much are rooms? Any word on structure, Chip amounts or levels?

The inaugural WSOP Europe begins September 6 with a three-day, 2,500 HORSE event starting on September 6, at The Casino at The Empire, LCI's newest casino in Leicester Square.

The Empire will also be the host casino for a two-day, 5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament starting September 8.

On September 10, the WSOP Europe Main Event - a six-day, 10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'Em Championship - will begin at The Empire, The Sportsman and Fifty. The playing field will be consolidated beginning September 13 at The Empire.

My best guess is there will be chaos.

The dealers at these casinos have zero experience dealing a big tournament. The cardroom managers and the casinos likewise have no experience either.

The idea of running a limit HORSE tournament is too funny. None of the dealers will have dealt limit tournaments and RAZZ is just never played here. If a dispute occurs during the RAZZ round absolutely noone will know what ruling to make.

And as for the main event being held in 3 locations across London.. all I can say is LOL. I have the image of taxis waiting outside the casinos revving up and eager to whizz through town to balance tables.

All in all I would suggest if you are thinking of coming.. don't bother and come to the EPT London instead.

Is the HORSE tournament fixed-limit? Because I was under the impression that limit poker was basically non-existent in Europe.

I am under the impression it is fixed limit, although I've been wrong before.

This is very strange. They should change it to PL SHOE. Fixed limit poker is not played in the British Isles, although it is played in some parts of Europe. Limit HORSE is a combination of the cash games that were common in the US 10-20 years ago.

Must be fixed limit or it will last about 3 hours. I've always laughed at pl7cs being played in uk casinos. The cash is almost never deep enough, so all the money has gone in by 5th or 6th.

The structure for these events were/are posted on the WSOP website under the WSOP-Europe tab.

I only looked at the GBP10k NLH event. The good news = 2 hour levels. The bad news = fewer levels than the WSOP ME $10k Championship (I think a total of 3 levels were deleted).

20k starting chips and early levels same as WSOP ME $10k Championship.

I think you're sorely mistaken for the bigger games. PL Stud and its variants are the most skillful ways to play poker.

Also, as for hotels, you should book near Bayswater if you want under 100 a night. Anywhere else wont be under 150 a night in central london. Hilton is 190, marriot by vic (which isnt hosting the wsop) starts at 250.

Harras organisation of the main event makes me want to skip this one.

On the other hand I will NOT miss out on the EPT London.
