Got a quick giggle out of a few of em but would never wear em or anything.

For those that want the "I Am the American Dream" shirt, it's Ecko and was HUGE a few years back and should be super easy to find online for cheap.

Hijack cuz I don't feel like bumping the other Wire thread:

Was just rewatching the dog fight episode and I still don't get this part: before the fight Cheeses boy pours what looks like milk on the back of their dog, and the opponent dabbles their dogs back with a red rag.

Was the red rag dipped in chloroform or something? What was with pouring that liquid on Cheeses dog, just to keep it cool? Sorry for the ignorance but I don't know pretty much anything about dogfights.

On a related note, how can I get a shirt like this:

A guy designed it here, but it isn't actually available for purchase:

His design is pretty good except that he should have the American flag font for the words.

The Mcnulty one is awesome, but I wouldn't wear it in public.

Just ordered The Wire seasons 1-4 on DVD. I started watching The Wire during Season 1 when it aired the first time, but i missed a week and then forgot about it for a while.

The Wire All The Pieces Matter CD coming out Jan 8th now available for pre-order (I had posted this earlier, but now it can actually be ordered and more track info is available):

Way Down in the Hole Tom Waits (S2 opening).

Way Down in the Hole The Neville Brothers (S3 opening).

Way Down in the Hole DoMaJe (S4 opening)

The Fall - Blake Leyh (Episode ending theme)

I Feel Alright - Steve Earle (S2 montage theme)

Fast Train - Solomon Burke (S3 montage theme)

I Walk on Gilded Splinters - Paul Weller (S4 montage theme)

The Body of an American - The Pogues (Cole & Foerster wakes)

The Life, the Hood, the Streetz - Mullyman (Final scene of S4)

Oh My God - Michael Franti (Season 1)

Dance My Pain Away - Rod Lee (Ep 44)

Jail Flick - Diablo (Ep 44)

What You Know About Baltimore? - Ogun + Phathead. (will be in Season 5)

and some Stelios Kazantzidis will also be included, from some of the Greek semi-montage scenes in Season 2.

Some of the most memorable dialog from the programs five years will also be included on the record. The CD booklet will feature essays by the author and series writer George Pelecanos, series creator David Simon and the noted hip-hop journalist Jeff Chang.

I guess the season 1 montage "Step by Step" - Jesse Winchester won't be on there

Best shirt in the thread, IMO.

And that soundtrack looks phenomenal. The Paul Weller song (from my favorite montage in TV history) and the closing theme alone will get me to buy it.
