That bumps the show up in funny imo.

I was talking about this with a friend and we agreed that the ending that was released was better, in part due to the fact that anything that makes you feel sympathetic towards Cartman kind of takes away from his role in the show.

[/ QUOTE ]Lol @ that making you feel sympathetic towards Cartman

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmmmmm....I find myself always pulling for Cartman to achieve his goals. Am I the only one?

[/ QUOTE ]My friend loves Cartman and even does he voice whenever he imitates someone, so, this should say something about him.

Simpsons is so dumbed-down at this point it's depressing. The show ran its course years back and MG continues to mail it in every week for a fat FOX check. Sucks, because that show was excellent for a long stretch and had some great writers back in the day.

i haven't regularly watched simpsons since season 10 or so, and i think the last season that counted as passable was season 9. i remember distinctly watching the episode with buck the cowboy where he becomes bart hero, which had literally 0 funny moments, and thinking "ok simpsons is ok"

I laughed pretty hard at the $100,000 Pyramid scene (probably because I used to watch that show all the time) but the rest was dumb and the plot was even dumber.

With the new Family Guy's it's as if they saw South Park make fun on them and think hey we can be just as political as them and instead turned the show into a giant parody of itself. The biggest problem with the Simpsons it has turned into such a cartoon, it is still competent in the sense it is better than like According to Jim and other crappy sitcoms, but it clearly a stepdown. I think King of The Hill has always been underrated in the court of public opinion.
