QQ laydown with all unders on the flop
Did I make the right move laying down QQ here?
my read on SB is: 28/10/2.5 (88 hands) BB is unknown (only 5 hands) PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is MP3 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 5 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, SB 3-bets, BB caps, Hero calls, SB calls. Re: QQ laydown with all unders on the flop
That is not a "read" you have on SB. A read is "Bets busted draw when checked to on river". What you have there are his statistics based on a small sample size.
Are you sure this is pretty bad BBB? What do you do? 3-bet and call down a cap? |

Re: QQ laydown with all unders on the flop
I guess when SB 3-bets then gets capped, then leads into the capper, I get a bit scared. Then the capper raises it.
Whats your best cases here. They have JJ and TT each. or one of them has JJ-TT and the other has AK? |

Re: QQ laydown with all unders on the flop
I would not 3-bet the flop. I'm not ready to give up, but I'm pretty close to it, and if it were to come back capped to me, I'd let it go.
Other than the somewhat obvious fact that we might be drawing very slim, the other part about cold calling that I *don't* like is that it gives AK odds to draw, if that's what SB has. I think that we're either way ahead or way behind BB, and if we keep the betting open on the flop, he will cap us when he's ahead, and we'll probably have to call that for one more bet. Cold calling here preserves the option to raise the turn if we decide to do that, which we might want to do if SB calls behind us on the flop and then checks to BB on the turn. |

What does 3-betting this flop accomplish for us? The more I think about it, the less I like 3-betting here, but I'm probably missing something.

Re: QQ laydown with all unders on the flop
Thats what I figured... I was just so sure I was up against a bigger PP...
Is there a situation where you would ever make this fold? Like if I had good info on the villains and they had PRF's below 5%? |

Re: QQ laydown with all unders on the flop
if you had ended up capping preflop OTB against UTG and MP and UTG donked and MP raised, then it would be a pretty easy fold IMO.
as it happened, this isn't really bad either. i'm not sure what the right move is but SB has AA or KK enough to worry and possibly enough to make this a good fold. don't worry much about it. |
