QQ facing a Four-Bet
I played this hand live at Hollywood Park in LA. I am trying to play more aggressively, which means I need to get better at playing these 3-bet and 4-bet preflop hands.
1-2 Blinds, effective stacks $145. 7 handed game. Folded to HJ. HJ raises to 6, Hero reraises in cutoff to 19 with two red queens. Button raises to 55. I have been playing with him for 90 minutes and he has never three-bet preflop, let alone 4-bet. I called. Board was A67 all clubs. Action goes check, check. Turn is a 7 spades, I check, he bets 60, I fold. I have a few questions on this hand. First, should I even call preflop considering his action and prior play are screaming AA or KK. Also, do you put him on KK and make a big bet on the turn? I thought about it, but I figured that even if I were right he had a 50% chance of having the K of clubs and would call the bet, putting me in a precarious position on the river. Thoughts? |

Re: QQ facing a Four-Bet
with stacks of $150 ish it's either a push or fold preflop situation. Usually almost always a fold.

Re: QQ facing a Four-Bet
Fold as fast as you can preflop.
