LA Angels for me for one reason: I covered prospect Nick Adenhart from Little League through High School, as he grew up in my hometown (Hagerstown, MD) and I work for the local paper. Around here, we don't have too many great athletes come through the ranks so it was pretty exciting to watch him develop. He threw 76 mph at 12 and 88 at 14.

Kansas City Royals. There isn't an mlb team within ~350 miles.

So far I am the first and only royals fan and i shouldn't even count really since i am not much of a true fan. I like to root for the underdog in every game, since KC has the worst record in the MLB, i would consider them to be my favorite team right now. If the royals had an awesome season next year, i would love it, but the season after i would probably stop caring about the royals at all. i am the ultimate antibandwagon fan.

there is one exception though, i will root against the yankees every game always.

Now that I live in Sac, I enjoy rooting for the As as well.

I'm from Nashville so I don't have a hometown team. I wound up a Phillies fan.

Okay, fess up, who are the 2 other sorry souls?

Pittsburgh native pretty much my whole life, I don't have much of a choice, they were way too good when I was young and I got hooked. But man, if they ever do make the playoffs, it will be so much sweeter then it is for you guys who like teams that make th eplayoffs on a regular basis
