Default Pocket pairs play themselves...pfff

the pain continues at 6max. I only sat down because there was only 1 fullring .50/1 game going. 18 vpip. At 6max. -60 or so big bets for the 1200 hand session. looking at my pokertracker database right now makes me ill.

Anyway, here's one from the middle of the session, villain is as loose and passive as they come. I haven't seen him do anything but drool on himself so far. 61/9/1 over 250 hands, flop/turn/river breakdown in terms of betting percentage is 37/42/39

he's the type of guy who only bets/raises 2 pair or better, top pair if it's an ace or a king.

Fold. This really looks like an ace.

I hate folding these spots, since that's such an easy card to bluff, but against a player like this I think you have to.

I'd be very surprised if he doesnt have Ax.

to be clear, the question here is does hero want to put 2 more bets into this pot to find out? since your read implies he is not a crazyman Im gunna go with a No answer.

A PFR of 9 at 6-max is really low, but that 1 AF doesn't seem so low when it's coupled to the 61 VPIP.

Have you seen him check-raise ever? That would be really helpful information.

He raised preflop (but didn't cap) and then check-raised the turn when an ace makes a straight? I think he has an ace... Maybe something like AQ/AJ and maybe even AK (you're holding two kings, so this is less likely)... but I don't think I really want to pay 2 BB to find out what he has.

Right when it happened, did you say to yourself "I think I should fold."? If so, then you should trust your read and fold.

It's just a simple math problem. Pot is 7.75 bets and you have 3.5 outs. Fold. The turn bet sucks though imo.
