He had been involved with the cl before and both players cked it down on a scary board. I had played several hands with Matt at an early table in which I played very weak, with 30+XBB. Matt made a lunch out of my blinds on several occassions back then. He probably views me as patient, and overly tight, however I hadn't shown down the worst hand in a pot I was involved in. here was our last exchange (or lack thereof) the previous orbit: MattSuspect: posts small blind 10000 Locutus2002: posts big blind 20000 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Locutus2002 [5d 6s] KAROyal: folds ziggy47: folds kAmIkAdZeEe: folds Haydenmazer: folds malka18: folds MattSuspect: calls 10000 Locutus2002: checks *** FLOP *** [Kh Ah 6h] MattSuspect: checks Locutus2002: checks *** TURN *** [Kh Ah 6h] [Jh] MattSuspect: checks Locutus2002: checks *** RIVER *** [Kh Ah 6h Jh] [Qc] MattSuspect: checks Locutus2002: checks *** SHOW DOWN *** MattSuspect: shows [7c 8h] (a flush, Ace high) Locutus2002: mucks hand Malka was considerably looser and I was shocked to see him on the final table as he had Donked off most of his chips at the earlier table I was at. He had been playing fairly loose, but all his raises were 4XBB (even at the earlier table). I'm sure his range included hands down to quality Tens (T8s or so). He has shown a wiliingness to make pot odds calls from the BB against an UTG push with j9o. So Malka raises 5XBB on the button, I'm ready to push, and Matt calls out of the SB. I'm sure I'm behind, there is a very good chance I'm dominated, but it will be a huge pot. Do you push or fold? |

Re: FT KJs time to go?
I fold matt calling here is reallly narrow you can def find more +EV open shoves with your 10bb stack after sb hits you.

Re: FT KJs time to go?
no, you have no FE and will get called by both players. Creating FE with first-in vig. is very important with your stack, so find a better spot to do it.

Re: FT KJs time to go?
Button is making an 'I'm not folding' kind of raise and SB is calling off 1/8 of his stack to play OOP with a pot and stack behind that, to me, indicates real strength. So this initially looks to be an unfavourable spot. There's no way you're folding both and you have to be behind SB, surely. OTOH, given all the money in the pot and the fact that button will find generally find it hard to push, this is probably +EV.
Nice hand to post. I'm sorry I have no clue. I guess it comes down to SB's calling range here. I can't see much that I'd call with here, if anything. I'd shove the usual restealing hands with against the only bigger stack AQ+, 99+ and probably shove AA too because I'd think a call/minraise would look more suspicious and be no more profitable. So I'm lost. What do you think SB's range is? |

no, you have no FE and will get called by both players. [/ QUOTE ] Button won't call all that light here, for half his stack, unless he's an idiot (read might be that he's an idiot). SB's cold call is super scarey. |

Re: FT KJs time to go?
locutus I would go as far to say I may even fold to his 5x I think thats a hand thats def not folding a shove but wants to let you know hes not folding. So it's def not JJ+ but it's often AJ 88 and other hands you rather not go against with 0 FE. So this is a fold imo without the redic scary SB coldcall from a good and up and coming lhe leftover.

Re: FT KJs time to go?
No, sorry unclear, I mean if button's coming along, it's on the understanding that he's playing for half his stack, because of SB behind.

Re: FT KJs time to go?
yeah i just fold this because the 5x open is so absurd, and Matt has a real hand here; or at least, he should (fwiw i'm reraising anything i decide to play in his spot, because i'm not playing much, and i'm happy to get the 5x donk to commit PF)
